Shirley, NY – October 28, 2014, Biodex Medical Systems, Inc. was pleased to welcome a group of 21 students and faculty from Hunter Allied Health Division, School of Diagnostic Medical Sonography at its Shirley, NY Corporate Headquarters. 

Richard Schubert, Senior Product Sales Manager, Diagnostic Imaging Tables, hosted the group.  They were provided with a tour of the corporate facilities as well as the manufacturing area.  Mr. Schubert gave an explanation of the Biodex lean manufacturing philosophy and the benefits it has to Biodex and the market as a whole. 

The Biodex Sound Pro™ Combination and Echo Pro™ Ultrasound Tables were demonstrated as part of the tour, highlighting the features and benefits and how they relate to the students’ specific area of study.  The science of ergonomics and scanning was the focal point of the discussion to help the students understand personal safety.

“It was a pleasure to have the group visit our facilities.  Our goal is to aid in educating the next generation of sonographers and provide them with an in depth knowledge of products available to them as they embark on their new career path,” states Richard Schubert.
