Re: ATOMLAB™ Dose Calibrators and F-18 Dial Values

To ATOMLAB™ Dose Calibrator Users:

Please be advised that you DO NOT have to adjust the dial value of F-18 on your Atomlab Dose Calibrator. Information has been distributed by PETNET and Capintec that the dial value for F-18 should be adjusted as per the following article: Cessna, J.T., Schultz, T. Leslie, T., Bores, N. 2008. Radionuclide calibrator measurements of 18F in a 3 ml plastic syringe. Applied Radiation and Isotopes. 66, 988-993. (Full article reprints are available from (www.sciencedirect.com)

The ATOMLAB™ 100 Dose Calibrator accuracy assessment with a NIST traceable Ge-68/Ga-68 standard was shown to display a measured deviation by less than 2% of the specified standard activity. Please see the following abstracts located on our web site www.biodex.com/dosecalibrators and click into the top tab, Physics Tests.

[308] Accuracy of F-18 Calibration Settings in Commercial Dose Calibrators.

The New ATOMLAB™ 400, 500 and 500Plus Dose Calibrators have been compared to the ATOMLAB™ 100 readings as well as tested with the RadQual Ge-68/Ga-68 NIST traceable standard and are also within 2% of the specified standard activity.
