As research continues to demonstrate the potential long term impact of concussion in sports, the importance of objective assessment in the management of concussion has become vital.
Learn about the importance of baseline testing in establishing an individual athlete’s normal, pre-injury performance. Baseline tests including Balance Assessment, Cognitive Assessment and Symptoms Checklist provide the most accurate and reliable benchmark against which post-injury assessments can be compared.
You will also learn about the Biodex Balance Assessment Program for Concussion Management which adds an objective neurophysical component, giving clinicians the ability to quantify the elements of balance before and after an injury occurs. The objective data provided by the Biodex Biodex Balance System SD or Portable BioSway provides objective documentation – detailed summary and progress reports track recovery and provide clinicians with the quantitative data to help in determining readiness for return to play.
